More evidence today of a severly broken aerobic engine. Base building continues after the new year.
5.75 miles @14:04 pace (avg HR 133). The weather was quite pleasant for December 23rd.
It is quite humbling to be running 14:00 miles when I can run a 1/2 marathon at 9:30 or better pace. I know however this is the right thing to do.
On the schedule today is some snowman building and meat buying...done shopping for Christmas, but maybe need one more gift for Son's birthday on Sunday.

don't think of it as a broken aerobic engine, but one that merely in the shop (base training) getting retooled for a shot at marathon glory.
