Base Building: Week 1

Had a pretty good 1st week of base building.

I got 4 out of 5 runs in + a couple walks + 1 strength/stretch session.

My weight unfortunately went in the opposite direction of my stock portfolio due to too much good food in the house. It really drives me crazy that I do great for 5 days and then blow it all up over the weekend. I need to be more disciplined. I can enjoy the foods that I love (Pork Fat Rules!!!!), I just can't eat as much as in the past. Do you really need potato chips with the pulled pork BBQ? Do you really need more than 2 peanut butter cookies? You get the point, maybe someday I will too.

I've still got a low grade illness which is pretty good since the remainder of my house has been sick and at Dr. multiple times over past few weeks. Also, still haven't slept through night in about 2 weeks now (combination of sick kid, sick wife, restless dog, stress, things that go bump in the night, etc...)

This week plan is as follows:

Monday - Stretch/strengthen
Tuesday - Run 30 minutes
Wednesday - Walk 10/Run 20
Thursday - Run 30 minutes
Friday - Rest
Saturday - Run 30 minutes + strength
Sunday - Run 40 minutes
